Our research focuses on developing integrative photonics solutions to complex problems in biological research and materials science. The research in our group is highly inter-disciplinary at the interface of physical chemistry, materials science, and biology. Our work involves molecular spectroscopy and imaging, fabrication of nanomaterials, developing optical and microscopic methods (label-free, light-sheet, Raman, fluorescence/confocal, and others) for biological imaging and materials characterization.
